According to official statements, the upcoming GPUs will deliver “new levels of performance, efficiency and usability”. Recall that during the Ryzen 7000 presentation, AMD shared a slide in which it highlighted numerous technological advantages, such as the next-generation Infinity cache, improved packaging technologies and the 5nm process, adding also, that RDNA 3 GPUs would outperform RDNA 2 GPUs in terms of performance per watt by at least 50% thanks to the new design of their compute units (CU).
Their release date will be officially revealed at the event, with the high-end ones being the first to arrive, however, it has recently been rumored that these will most likely go on sale this December, according to a well-known leaker on Twitter. AMD Radeon RX 7000 series graphics cards will start becoming widely available in early December, according to the prominent Twitter source under the user Greymon.
Another of the most relevant leaks is related to the design of these new GPUs. The leaker 9550pro uploaded to Twitter the two pictures that allegedly show a graphics card from AMD’s RX 7000 series and is compared to AMD’s most current high-end, the Radeon RX 6950 XT.
The leaker does not mention which GPU of the 7000 series is the one being compared, however, it is presumed that it could be a RX 7900 XT, if we compare the designs, the fans of the new card seem to be larger, in addition, in the following image you can see a big difference regarding the heatsink, the new RX 7000 has a larger area for heat dissipation. Finally, it can be said that it is a very similar design, which, unlike the new RTX 4090, maintains dimensions that are not so out of the ordinary.
The latest information will be revealed this Thursday, November 3, what are you looking forward to most about these new RDNA 3 cards?
