Gears of War could get remastered just like Master Chief Collection, according to rumors.

The popularity of the Gears of War saga has been one of Microsoft’s greatest, and it is known that, in Mexico, it has many active players. This makes it inevitable that the possibility of the series not receiving a remaster being left out.

On the most recent episode of Xbox Era Podcast, it was mentioned about another Microsoft franchise that will be getting a type of Master Chief Collection, additionally, it would be arriving this year, and everything points that it will be Gears of War, as it was later referred to as ‘Gears Collection‘.

We know that Gears 6 still has a long way to go. The Coalition had mentioned a year ago that they would start using Unreal Engine 5 for their upcoming projects and that they would take a break while they switch to Epic’s new graphics engine, as Unreal Engine 5 was in the process of being released at that time. Although Gears 6 is in its initial stages of development, we won’t see any news of the game until 2024.

The arrival of a remastered Gears of War Collection is an excellent idea to cover the absence of new Gears game, just as the Master Chief Collection was before the release of Halo Infinite. Until now, only the first Gears of War game to have been remastered has been Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, and it is highly likely that it will be included in the collection.

The remastered Gears of War trilogy would be a great delight for fans who will want to relive the Gears of War story on next-gen Xbox consoles or PC. An official announcement will most likely be revealed this summer if the rumors are true.
