It seems that Grand Theft Auto V has not stopped being amazing, a game that is already 10 years old, continues to evolve in graphics. Although the latest Grand Theft Auto V next-gen update did not bring significant graphical improvements, as it did with the transition from seventh-generation consoles (Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3) to eighth-generation consoles (Xbox One and PlayStation 4), it did add the ability to play Grand Theft Auto V at 60 frames per second for the first time in consoles.
Better late than never
Since the announcement of the Grand Theft Auto V update for next-generation consoles, it was presumed that one of the big improvements in graphics would be the implementation of Ray Tracing, however, this was absent at launch, not to mention that fans were furious to see that Rockstar wanted to extend out the life of Grand Theft Auto V by re-releasing it for the new consoles.

Recently, Ray Tracing finally arrived in an update for Xbox One Series X and PlayStation 5 consoles, taking Grand Theft Auto V to a new graphical level, and while it’s not quite Ray Tracing, it does an excellent job of adding more life back into Grand Theft Auto.
These new graphical details are most noticeable in vehicles and puddles of water; the game definitely has a phenomenal graphical environment, which can be appreciated in buildings and on a rainy night.
As can be seen in the video from the ElAnalistaDeBits channel, Ray Tracing can be appreciated on different surfaces and objects around Los Santos, in addition, the shadows have a significant improvement in detail, improving their drawing distance. Ray Tracing adds more details to Grand Theft Auto V, which makes it more fun to play in first person, which is where these details can be better appreciated.
Currently these new Ray Tracing settings are available for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. Regarding the PC version, it is unknown if they will add Ray Tracing, but many assume that very soon it will come in a new update, and knowing Rockstar, it is not surprising that they will leave the PC version last, but this is just an assumed by users, Rockstar has not commented anything about the PC version.
Rockstar Games should have launched Ray Tracing from the beginning with the next gen version of Grand Theft Auto V, and this mistake made fans furious, considering it a scam. Now with the arrival of Ray Tracing, we can enjoy a more detailed and more enjoyable GTA V in first person. What do you think of the new Ray Tracing?
