The gaming world is buzzing with the latest news: Naruto x Boruto: Ultimate Ninja Storm Connections finally has a release date. This highly anticipated title will be released for Xbox One, Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam. Gamers in Japan will be able to enjoy it from November 16th, while the global release is scheduled for November 17th, according to statements from Bandai Namco and the developer CyberConnect2.
For those eager to get their hands on it, digital pre-orders are already available on the PlayStation and Xbox platforms. Those using Switch and Steam PC will have to wait a bit longer, as the pre-order dates for these platforms will be announced later.
Various Editions Available
The game will be offered in multiple editions, both physical and digital, to cater to all kinds of fans:
Physical Editions:
- Standard Edition
- Collector’s Edition: Ideal for collectors at heart, it comes with the base game, a SteelBook case, a collectible sheet, a special collection box, and a set of thematic figures of Naruto and Sasuke celebrating the 20th anniversary of the anime.
- Premium Collector’s Edition: The crown jewel. It includes everything mentioned above plus six collectible cards and a special scroll with original art of all the game’s characters, and an exclusive work from Studio Pierrot.
Digital Editions:
- Standard Edition
- Deluxe Edition: Contains the base game, the Season Pass, and a special “maskless” outfit for Kakashi.
- Definitive Edition: Offers five additional outfits, two outfit accessories, and all the content from the Digital Deluxe Edition.
What does the game have in store for us?
Bandai Namco shared a brief summary giving us a glimpse of what’s to come. From the formation of Team 7 to the Fourth Great Ninja War, this title promises to be a nostalgic journey for followers of the series. It will offer cinematic battles with graphics true to the anime and a control style tailored for both veterans and newcomers. But that’s not all, the game introduces a unique story in which Boruto, Naruto’s son, will face the threat of the Fifth Great Ninja War. And as if that wasn’t enough, the game will feature voiceovers in several languages, including neutral Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese!
New Fighters Announced
Along with the game’s trailer, images of three new playable characters were revealed: Boro, Delta, and Koji Kashin from the Kara organization, further expanding the vast universe of this game.
