Design & Accessories

At first glance, this controller resembles a standard Xbox controller, with a distinguishing black and purple color pattern. Its pleasant grip causes no discomfort, and its rubber grips ensure that the controller does not slip from your hand at all.

It has all the basic buttons for it to work with your PlayStation, with programmable switches and triggers on the back. One of its most unique features is the ability to swap out and adjust the buttons, allowing you to use the analog sticks as an Xbox or PlayStation type controller, depending on your preferences.

Connectivity and compatibility

In addition to PlayStation 5, the Victrix Pro BFG controller is highly compatible with PC and PlayStation 4, and you can switch platforms simply by changing the switch on the top of the controller. It has both wireless and USB Type-C braided cable connections, with a length of about 3 meters.

Incredibly customizable

PDP has made one of the best customizable controllers for the PlayStation. You can change the buttons and where they are on the controller, and this is the real thing. You have a small adjustment screwdriver as a tool to make modifications, so keep it close at hand and well stored, so it doesn’t get lost.

Whatever game you play, you will find a way to enjoy this controller; the buttons are placed in rectangular modules, and as previously stated, this is one of the most important features that distinguishes this controller from the rest. The ability to add functions to the rear switches and triggers enhances the gaming experience. Each side has two rear triggers for a total of four, which are simple to operate and designate. Up to three custom profiles can be saved in the controller.

It also includes the trigger stop function, which restricts most of the trigger movement so that they can be quickly pressed, and it’s a new feature being incorporated into the latest premium controllers like the SCUF controllers. This function mainly gives you an advantage in FPS games, since you can shoot faster; it’s phenomenal.

And if you’d rather configure everything through software, we’re sorry to say that you can only do that from the controller itself for now. However, it’s likely that PDP is working on making the controller customizable through software soon, though it’s not clear if this will only be for future products. The button customization styles are so big it is difficult to detail each one of them. Simply put, the Victrix Pro BFG can be adapted to almost any game.

Is it worth it?

Knowing that the PlayStation Dual Sense controller has arrived on the shelves, making a decision can be difficult. If you are more interested in the Dual Sense Edge, it is best to purchase it. On the other hand, the Victrix Pro BFG is one of the most customizable controllers you can get for PlayStation, and if you like having everything under your control and tailored to your playing style, this controller will definitely be one of your favorites, but you should keep in mind that this controller does not have the features of the Dual Sense.
