Microsoft wants to make everyone have access to games, and with Game Pass and its great cloud gaming service, X Cloud, it’s now easier than ever to enjoy your favorite titles from almost any device.
Today it has been announced the arrival of the Xbox application to Samsung Smart TVs, which will be available from June 30 in 27 countries. We should mention that the application is only compatible with 2022 Smart TV models.
To enjoy cloud gaming from your Smart TV, simply open the Gaming Hub or from the media center, open the Xbox app and sign in with your Microsoft account, connect your favorite compatible Bluetooth controller and you’re ready to play.
Compatible controllers are:
- Xbox Adaptive/Wireless Controller
- Xbox Elite Series 2 controller
- Dualsense
By offering a native application to the new Smart TVs, Microsoft ensures a seamless experience without the need for a console and obviously, to fully enjoy this service, it’s necessary to have the Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, which gives you access to hundreds of titles available in the cloud.
It is worth mentioning that many free to play games are on the way, this means that it will not be necessary to have Game Pass Ultime, recently Fortnite came to X Cloud for free, and it is not necessary to have a membership to enjoy it.
Just like Fortnite, more free-to-play games will be coming to X Cloud, which could guarantee an excellent future for the service. Finally, nothing was mentioned about pre-2022 models of Smart TVs, however, Microsoft mentioned that it will be looking to make more collaborations with other TV brands to expand the options.
